1 Open Instagram. The app icon is a camera inside a square that’s a gradient from yellow to purple. You can find this on your home screen, in the app drawer, or by searching.

  • Once you have “Aa” selected, you’ll see a plain colored background and a prompt for you to “Tap to type.”

5 Tap where it says “Tap to type.” Your keyboard will activate and the text will change to “Type something.”

6 Type your post. You can change the font style by tapping the heading at the top of your screen that says either Classic, Modern, Neon, Typewriter, or Strong. If you tap the lines in the upper left corner of your screen, you can change the text alignment in your post.
